After Blue Genes, a high-end boutique located at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead, was robbed on multiple occasions (about seven in all, but who’s counting?), the owners were left with no choice but to hike up their pants and walk away through the rubble. With such a large mercantile space available at what many deem as a prime Buckhead location, much has and is becoming of the once empty space; obviously for retailers who are somehow immune to the blue jean bandits.
Most recently, Bill Hallman opened a new location in the outlet portion of the Blue Genes Boutique. Two months ago, Fab’rik opened adjacent to Bill Hallman (left of) making their fourth Atlanta location very prominent. As for the space left of Fab’rik, plans for an ostentatious boutique, Swank. From Birmingham Alabama, this high end boutique will be opening their first Atlanta location in February taking what was once the Men’s Department of the Blue Genes Boutique.
Offering the latest and greatest fashions for women, Swank is currently online at swankbirmingham.blogspot.com For their Atlanta location and available fashions, it is illusive that an updated website (a DOT com) would be in the making.
As for all of the other available space at the Shops Around Lenox, here’s to hoping this flashy Mom and Pop attracts others (and scares away the thugs).
